MAKE IT FEST

As summer nears to an end and we face the dark nights ahead, BCA asked you to make the most of those shorter days and longer evenings, and try your hand at something new! BCA invited people of all ages to take part in ‘Make It Fest’ – a fortnight of innovation, experimentation and new experience. ‘Make It Fest’ was hosted by a range of artists, each encouraged and inspired participants to launch into the inventive world of creative DIY. ‘Make It Fest’ took place at BCA Gallery from the 19 – 31 October 2009 as part of the ‘I didn’t think I could make it’ exhibition.
Amongst the range of activities offered, participants could have a go at photography, knitting and animation. There was opportunities for making music with electronics, jewellery with LED lights and creatures from recycled materials. As part of ‘Make It Fest,’ BCA Gallery also hosted two artist talks.
