Patricia MacKinnon-Day – 10 minute exit

19 November - 18 December 2004

10 Minute Exit is an exhibition of new work by Patricia MacKinnon-Day that explores some of the issues relating to the farming of pigs for meat.

MacKinnon-Day's installation of sculpture, video and sound work investigates the social behaviour of penned pigs, on the farm and in the abattoir, thress weeks prior to slaughter. Using playful animation and children's nursery rhymes, the exhibition also looks at our perception of pigs as animals and food in a mass production farming system.

Work developed in collaboration with Elizabeth Genever, Animal Behavourist, Cambridge University.

10 Minute Exit is presented in partnership with Wysing Arts.
