Ziemovit Maj & Piotr Kowalski – Particles

Particles is an interactive artwork created by Polish artists Ziemovit Maj & Piotr Kowalski. To experience the full impact of the work, the viewer needs to participate as the particles referred to in the title react to his or her movement, apparently moving with an organic consciousness. You must come and see it to believe it!

The exciting range of possibilities presented by this work has led to a series of choreographed events being organised by professional choreographer and Artistic Director of Ersatz Dance Company, Helen Bailey. Helen is planning to work with performers from Ersatz who will respond to the artwork and perform in the gallery spaces. This will be the first time that we have organised a dance event at the gallery, so we urge you to come along and experience what promises to be an innovative and unique performance. You will also have the opportunity to interact with ‘Particles’ for yourself.
