While artist in residence at BCA, Suzanne Mooney concentrated on exploring new directions for her work. Integral to the research was the accumulation of source material; collecting huge numbers of photography manuals and displaced souvenirs from local outlets culminated in the production of two new bodies of work: Souvenirs of Bedford and Photographing Girls.
Suzanne Mooney's work engages with the very nature of image production. Through the use of various photographic processes, appropriated images and drawing, she explores the medium of photography as a way of reconsidering how we look at the world through representation.
